Spiders can bite, but they don't actually have any venom. When you take a look at the False Widow, they do carry a toxin but they aren't aggressive at all. They rarely bite but when they do, they can leave you with pain and even swelling. Even if they don't bite, a lot of people don't want to have spiders sharing their home.
